What You’ll Do

• Operate Bystronic laser cutting machines to process sheet metal components

• Load raw materials, select and verify programs, and adjust machine parameters as needed

• Interpret blueprints, job travelers, and nesting layouts

• Monitor cutting processes to ensure part quality, edge condition, and dimensional accuracy

• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

• Make minor program or offset adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency

• Troubleshoot basic machine or material issues and escalate when needed

• Maintain equipment and work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards

• Support continuous improvement efforts related to efficiency and scrap reduction

What You Bring

Education & Experience

• 1+ years of experience operating Bystronic or similar CNC laser equipment

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part specifications

• Experience with sheet metal, including thickness, material types, and cutting behavior

• Strong understanding of quality standards and measurement tools

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic issues

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Pay Range

A reasonable estimate of the salary pay range for this role is $20- $25 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
