What You’ll Do
- Perform TIG welding on aluminum components, brackets, and structural tower parts and other components.
- Follow welding procedures, work instructions, and engineering prints.
- Produce consistent, clean welds that meet cosmetic, structural, and quality standards.
- Use jigs, fixtures, and clamps to ensure proper alignment and positioning.
- Adjust machine settings to achieve proper penetration, reinforcement, and bead quality.
- Perform basic fit-up, grinding, deburring, and preparation work prior to welding.
- Align, clamp, and secure parts based on engineering drawings and fixture requirements.
- Verify dimensional accuracy before and after welding to ensure adherence to specifications.
- Inspect welds for penetration, appearance, porosity, alignment, and completeness.
- Identify defects and correct or report issues promptly.
- Work closely with Quality and Team Leads to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
- Maintain a strong focus on protecting cosmetic surfaces throughout the process.
- Follow all welding safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized welding booth and work area.
- Inspect equipment, torches, consumables, and gas lines regularly.
- Report equipment or safety concerns immediately.
- Complete routing steps, labels, and production reporting accurately.
- Communicate material shortages, fixture issues, or process concerns to the Team Lead.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, standard work, and 5S efforts.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of TIG welding experience required (aluminum strongly preferred).
- Welding certification preferred but not required if skill proficiency is demonstrated.
- Experience in fabrication, metalwork, or precision welding is a strong plus.
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient TIG welding skills on aluminum.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Understanding of weld quality requirements and basic fabrication tools.
- Strong hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Production-floor environment with exposure to welding fumes, heat, noise, and bright arc light.
- PPE required at all times
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Work inside welding booths using fixtures and fabrication equipment.
- Regular movement throughout the department and occasional support for related fabrication tasks.

Pay Range
A reasonable estimate of the hourly pay range for this role is $20- $30 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location.
